2021 Ram 1500 Redesign, Concept and Changes.The fifth generation of a Ram 1500 is coming to the markets next year. The 2021 Ram 1500 will arrive with significant changes which include a host of updated both inside and out. The upcoming model comes with a new set of tow hooks, revised front end, and much comfier interior.Moreover, the 1500 pickup truck will ride on a new company’s frame that is lighter than before. A hybrid drivetrain is also in the offer so the fuel economy will get some astonishing numbers for this segment. On the other hand, if you prefer off-roading then the Ram Rebel model is a perfect choice. The rest of the trim levels will stay intact.
2021 Ram 1500 exterior improvements
The new exterior will see a lot of improvements, and one of them is a new frame made from a high-strength steel and aluminum. Thanks to that, the 2021 Ram 1500 will come with 230 pounds less. Moreover, the fuel economy is improved, just like the tow rating. The front end gains some serious changes, and Ram 1500 will become a first pickup truck with the front air dam.On top of that, styling looks more dynamic and the six-sided grille replaces an aging crosshair grille. The grille now features a big “RAM” lettering. Headlights are available in LED technology and are adaptive. The same treatment continues over to the taillights and even fog lights. Sadly, only the base model will get a halogen light bulbs and the adaptive system is not available. An optional set of wheels is ranged from 18 to 22-inches, while the 16-inch wheels are standard. Ram announces four new exterior paints so the overall number of colors is twelve. A two-pain scheme is available as on the previous model.
2021 Ram 1500 interior update
The all-new 2021 Ram 1500 is getting an interior update and we must say that it looks astonishing. New interior changes include a complete revamp as almost nothing from the previous model will remain. The interior is tied down to a specific trim level, however, the base model is better than most of the trucks in the full-size segment. Base Ram 1500 hosts soft-touch surfaces and premium materials.The cabin looks upscale and the latest addition is a new infotainment system. An Uconnect system adds a 12-inch touchscreen with a much quicker response than the previous touchscreen. Navigation comes as standard, while the Harman Kardon premium audio system is still optional. Legroom is ample and new reclining seats are very comfortable.
2021 Ram 1500 powertrain changes
There will be two engine choices for sure while the third diesel drivetrain is a speculation for now. The exterior and interior suffered plenty of changes and improvements, however, the 2021 Ram 1500 will ride on two familiar engines. A standard 3.6-liter V6 returns 305 HP and 269 lb-ft of torque and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 produces 395 HP and 310 lb-ft of twists. Those two engines might be here for years, but on the other hand, they are slightly retuned, and even a hybrid system is in the offer.A combination of an electrical motor and one of the two engines will improve the performance and fuel economy. A motor-generator adds 90 lb-ft of torque for the V6 drivetrain and 130 lb-ft for the V8 unit.
Diesel engine rumored
From rumors that circulate over the web, the new model will also get a diesel variant. The word is about all-new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6. This engine will be able to give great output. Furthermore, it will produce 260 HP and 440 lb-ft of torque.
2021 Ram 1500 price and release date
The price starts at 28,000 while the Limited trim level could cost around $62,000. The 2021 Ram 150 will hit the markets next year, probably in the first half.
