This heavy-duty pickup truck will receive most upgrades from the inside. However, the exterior will also suffer some changes as the spy shots are showing.Ram 3500 will also gain more torque which should make this model a class-leader in that segment. With that in mind, towing capacity is better as well. The interior will be heavily based on the Ram 1500 model, which is a good thing.
2021 Ram 3500 changes and improvements
The exterior of the 2021 Ram 3500 comes with minor improvements. The front end now sports a nostril grille with the huge RAM lettering in the middle. Front bumper looks slightly bolder and the rear bumper will get the same treatment. A fifth-wheel hitch will remain an optional feature. If you are buying this model for towing and hauling, the fifth-wheel hitch is more than recommendable. Moreover, Ram says it is the strongest hitch in the market.Box bed is improved too and storing items would be much easier now. Off-roading gear is available as well which includes new skid plates. Rearview and backup camera will come as standard and CHMSL camera is available on the optional list. On top of that, Night Special Edition adds satin-black front grille and black wheels. If you opt for the Tungsten Edition, you will get additional chrome trims, unique wheels, and bumpers in body color.
2021 Ram 3500 interior upgrades
After the latest spy shots emerged, we saw the biggest upgrades will happen from the inside. It is a logical move as the interior were out of date. Moreover, the interior will now look similar to the Ram 1500 model, which is great news for the customers. An 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen will be standard and the center stack will be the same as in the Ram 1500.A 12-inch display could be in the offer. This display wasn’t on the spy shots, probably because it is optional. A traditional steering column-mounted shift leveler is present, which is kinda surprising. The rest of the Ram’s pickup trucks are offering rotary shift dial. Range-topping models such as Limited, are offering premium upholstery and wood trims. The 2021 Ram 3500 is available in Regular, Crew Cab and Mega Cab body styles.
2021 Ram 3500 powertrain
The all-new 2021 Ram 3500 will continue to offer a 6.7-liter Cummins powertrain. The six-cylinder engine is delivering 390 horsepower and 905 lb-ft of torque. As we mentioned, the engine gained more torque which makes it a class-leading engine.Besides that, Ram 3500 still offers a 5.7-liter V8 that can burst 385 horses and a 6.4-liter V8 with 415 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. All three powertrains will use a 6-speed automatic transmission. Cummins engine and fifth-wheel hitch will help Ram 3500 to tow almost 30,000 pounds.
price and release date
The forthcoming 2021 Ram 3500 will start at $35,000. The prices are not official yet and we’ll have to wait and see how much the interior upgrade will cost. If you want a Limited model, the price starts at over $60,000. This heavy-duty truck will hit the dealerships later in 2019.
