2021 Renault Alaskan Specs, Price, Changes, & Photos

2021 Renault Alaskan Specs, Price, Changes, & Photos. The French pickup has been around for some time and it looks like we are about to see changes for the next year. Despite we are talking about a truck that is heavily based on the Navara, it comes with its own styling, which will be updated for the next year, if we can trust the latest reports. The current model debuted in 2017, so this may be a perfect time for a mid-cycle refresh. For that occasion, we would see novelties on both ends of the truck, though it looks like bigger changes won’t come at the front. The engine lineup should remain pretty much the same.

Under the hood, things will definitely remain the same. This means you may count on a well-known 2.3-liter dCi turbodiesel, which comes in two variants, with either 160 or 190 horsepower. In both cases, this truck moves with ease, while the utility is at a respectable level too. With the more powerful version, you may count on 3.5 tons of max towing capacity, which is on par with any other mid-size pickup truck around, including models like Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, Isuzu D-Max etc.

2021 Renault Alaskan Exterior

Most of the changes we would see in this refresh are in terms of the exterior design. Of course, the base layout would remain the same. We are talking about the truck that is heavily based on Nissan Navara. It rides on the same F-Alpha platform and features the same overall shape and dimensions. This means you may count on about 124 inches in wheelbase, which is more than enough to accommodate two rows of seats and a decent cargo bed.

For the next year, we would see mostly styling changes. This refers particularly to the front end, where we expect to see things like new headlights, new grille and bumper, all adapted to the brand’s newer design language. Far, the rest of the body featured pretty much the same look as Navara, though some sources suggest this might change in the future. We might see a couple of tweaks on the rear end, on the taillights and tailgate. Naturally, we count on new wheels and color options.

Interior

When it comes to interior design, we don’t expect any bigger changes. Simply, the Frech manufacturer didn’t bother with this aspect of the truck for the initial launch, so it probably won’t for this refresh either. You may count on a relatively blend and simple dashboard design, which is mostly made of hard-touch but very durable materials, which will last for decades. Practically, the only thing that was changes is the steering wheel, so we expect that everything will carry on in the same way.

Of course, there is always a chance to see a couple of additions in terms of standard equipment, so we could see novelties in terms of tech goodies, safety systems etc. The 2021 Renault Alaskan will carry on with a double cab layout as the only body style in the offer.
