As the current model, the new 2022 Acura NSX will most likely use the same powertrain. The current model uses a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 and three electric motors. Thanks to this system, the NSX sports car is able to produce 573 horsepower. Power is routed to all four wheels through a new nine-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It uses Acura’s Super Handling all-wheel-drive system (SH-AWD) as standard.

The high-performance model Acura NSX Type R will be finally available, and according to some rumors, it will use revised electric motors that will pump out around 640 horsepower. Compared to the regular model, that’s about 70 horses more.

Unlike the standard NSX model, the forthcoming 2022 Acura NSX Type R will provide a more sporty cabin. We don’t have much information about this department. We know for sure that the Type R will be more upscale.

The aforementioned report revealed that the next-generation 2022 NSX would be available sometime next year. Alongside this model, the manufacturer has a plan to release Type R and the Spider versions.

Many reports are suggesting that the debut could happen in December 2021. As for the pricing, we think that the 2022 Acura NSX will not cost less than $160,000. Adding the new Long Beach Blue paint job will cost you an additional $1000. Type R comes with a more powerful engine, and from some rumors, it might cross the $200k mark.
