The first spy photos of 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz finally emerged after many renderings that we saw. As we said, the all-new Santa Cruz will be based on the next-gen Tucson crossover and both models wear the same theme.

At first glance, there are many different things compared to the rendering version. The new model that is spied is wearing heavy camo and we can see somehow different styling. Through the camo, we spot a blocky grille, tiered LED headlights, black cladding around the wheel arches, and a kicked-up side window. The bed was completely covered, but we saw many similarities with the first-gen Ridgeline. Dimensionally, Santa Cruz could probably be around a foot longer than the Tucson. That means that Santa Cruz will be 194 inches long. For comparison, the latest Ridgeline model measures 210 inches long, while the Ranger double cab is 211 inches long.

Inside, the new 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz will be modern. This pickup truck will definitively use some of the Tucson cues. As you may know, Tucson is one of the best selling models from this automaker thanks to its durability and quality. We know for sure that Santa Cruz will provide many upscale materials and techs.

If you remember, renderings that we saw early reveals almost identical cabin as in the Tucson. Thanks to that, we assume that the cabin will be spacious and there will be plenty of rooms for five passengers in two rows. We can even expect larger displays, ambient lighting, excellent safety ratings, and much more.

Release Date and Price

The new spy shots of the latest 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz reveals some refreshments. Hyundai officials have also confirmed that this model will enter production sometime in 2021.

We have information that Santa Cruz will be built at the same factory in Alabama as the Elantra, Santa Fe, and Sonata. We expect the latest Santa Cruz to start at around $25,000 and to go on sales as the 2022 model.
