Opel has presented a deep facelift of its current Crossland X, which launches the new design language that already advanced the signature of the ray with the Mokka, it loses the ‘X’ of its name, being called Crossland to dry, although maintains its crossover character halfway between a b-segment and an suv.

The great novelty of this new Opel Crossland is found on the outside, in its aesthetics, which adopts the lines of the Mokka following the new Opel Vizor style code of the Germans, and which is characterized by that horizontal front grille crossed by two chrome plates and that merge with the front optics, also of a marked horizontal character, which can optionally be Full LED and adaptive.

As for its rear, those horizontal lines continue to predominate as a search for a feeling of greater width, and why not, of more packaging, highlighting the glossy black strip that joins both rear optics, also of the LED type. The optional GS Line trim introduces a more sporty look, accentuated by red and black accents, and a two-tone body with a floating roof.

If on the outside the changes are quite considerable, on the inside the opposite is true, being possible to optionally equip it with elements such as a multimedia system with an 8-inch screen and Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto connection, AGR ergonomic seats upholstered in Alcantara, head-up display or automatic parking assistant, among others.

Opel Crossland 2021 Engine

This new Crossland continues to have great practicality typical of a minivan, equipping the second row of seats with reclining and sliding backrests in 150 mm, which leaves a trunk capacity between 410 and 520 liters, as well as the possibility of lowering them asymmetrically to reach 1,255 liters of the load.

According to Opel, it will be more dynamic

On a technical level, those from Rüsselsheim ensure that this new Crossland will be more dynamic, since they have retouched the springs and shock absorbers of its suspension, McPherson struts front, and rear torsion bar, in addition to tweaking the steering. It also has the so-called IntelliGrip, with five driving modes (normal, snow, mud, sand, ESP-off) that electronically adapts the car to different road surfaces, thus wanting to give it a somewhat more off-road character.

Opel Crossland 2021 Specs

For engines, all of them homologated under Euro 6d, it will have three gasoline (1.2 83 CV, 1.2 Turbo 110 CV, and 1.2 Turbo 130 CV), as well as a 1.5 turbo diesel with 120 CV. The basic version will be associated with a 5-speed manual gearbox (6 in the rest), with the possibility of equipping the 6-speed automatic transmission on diesel and gasoline more powerful.

Thus, as reported by Opel, the new Crossland can be reserved at the end of the year, making the first deliveries throughout the first half of 2021.
