The Updated Exterior Elements

Rumor has it that the new NX will be using the global TNGA-K platform, sharing the specs with Toyota RAV4 as well as Toyota Venza.

The new Lexus NX will have 30mm of length when compared to RAV4, but it would be shorter (around 90mm) from Venza. NX would be wider when compared to both vehicles, but with lower stance than Venza.

There have been shots about NX being wider and lower than Venza with coupe-like sleeker model. Naturally, the company decides to keep the big and spindle grille on the front, but there is a sense of more elegance and toned-down along the way.

2023 Lexus NX Powertrain

In short, the new NX should be elegant, attractive, and artistic. But the complete details haven’t been released by the manufacturer, so we should wait and see.

The output would be 219 hp of power. The information about the torque power hasn’t been released yet. But with all wheel driving system and CVT gearbox, you can expect the best.

However, unlike Venza, the NX will have optional power choice. It is possible that a turbo-four engine with 2.4 liter capacity is offered. Expect to get 300 hp of power with 325 Nm of torque if it does.

This engine option seems more appealing. And if it does happen, the NX would be more powerful than its two main competitors: Audi Q3 and Beemer X1– because both ‘only’ offer 228 hp of power with 258 Nm of torque.

With the changes happening on the outside, it is only logical to expect similar changes happening on the inside. The company claims that the second generation NX would be far better– more good looking, more attractive, more appealing, and also more powerful– when compared to the current one.

As a modern crossover, it offers super attractive performance and quality. There hasn’t been any information about the cabin, but considering the efforts made by the manufacturer, it is logical to expect improved look and ambiance.

It is highly likely that the cabin will be packed with handy technologies, such as many driver assist safety technologies and features as well as compatibility with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. We should wait and see.
