2021 BMW X1 Redesign, Price, Review, and Release Date. According to German media, BMW will introduce the next generation of the X1 in 2021. That is the first huge update six years after promoting the current model. As expected, the styling is finding inspiration in new generations of X3 and X5 models. We already know the 2021 BMW X1 comes with slightly larger dimensions.

Well, with Normal mode it will take more time, and Eco is the slowest one, but the most efficient. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and uses a start/stop system. With the premium fuel, you can reach 26 mpg with an AWD.

Diesel and Hybrid models

In Europe, diesel engines are more popular. The 20d model is a 2.0-l displacement and it gains 150 hp. Top of the line engines can develop 190 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The German company discontinued the 25d model with 250 hp. The same move could happen in 2021 to create space for the environmental-friendlier hybrid model.

We still don’t have precise info, but the upcoming subcompact crossover will be revisited by iPerformance department. The same division is preparing all-electric X3 and X5. It doesn’t take too much to figure out the new 2021 BMW X1 could go through the same process and become the next EV. Of course, it will appear as iX1.

The new 2021 BMW X1 is coming next year. The crossover still has some time for final tuning. However, spy photos are already there and the X1 shows few interesting details. The price update is on the way as well. Currently, the base cost is $36,000 and the xDrive AWD model is two grands more. With available options, the price easily jumps above $50,000.

The X1 is one of the most exclusive models in the segment. Only other German carmakers can match its premium offer. Still, buyers are choosing to spend money on Lexus UX or Infiniti QX30 more frequently.
